Without-a-doubt, Rock The Republic 2010 will be an event you HAVE to see. Taking place in Downtown Bryan, Texas on October 21st through October 23rd, this is the event's second year. Bands and musical artists of ALL genres from across the “Republic” will be showcasing their talents in several venues and opening a world of music that some people never even knew existed. Bands like Green River Ordinance, Band of Heathens, Ishi, Fair to Midland, Foe Destroyer, and Suzanna Choffel are just some of the 90 featured performers, all with great talent. Awesome slam poets from across the state of Texas will also be voicing their work, and this year’s event features some that have been featured on channels such as HBO. Also, if you are into art, then look no further than Rock The Republic because artists will be showing off their work on the streets!
Rock The Republic is only once a year and this year it is a 3-day event. If Blinn students are interested and have any questions about the event, an RTR promoter will be outside of the Bryan Campus Student Center on October 13th and 20th! Tickets are only $45 for a 3-day pass and it is worth every penny!
