Learn more about the federal work-study program

We all know that college has been getting more expensive as the years go by, especially with the economy the way it is.  I’m sure we would all love to have a little extra pocket money for those last minute essentials you need for class, or to simply spend on entertainment as a reward for all the hard studying college requires; so why not apply for Blinn College Work-Study Program?

It’s fast, it’s easy and it’s free!  The only requirements are that you have filled out a FAFSA and are eligible for Work-Study.  To find out if you are, simply log into your Blinn Boris Account and look under the “Financial Aid” tab.  If you are eligible, there should be an award saying “Work-Study” on it and you can then go to employment.blinn.edu and create an account (also free).

Once you do this, all the available positions on all campuses will pop up.  You can choose which one you think you would be qualified for or which one would benefit you the most.  The positions currently open are in the BOCL (Bryan Open Computer Lab), as they still need students willing to work there.

All working hours are scheduled around your classes, so there is no need for stress.  Some positions may require you to present yourself for a small interview and show a copy of your class schedule.  At the end of your application, the website will let you know whether you are qualified for the position you have applied for.
