The Blinn Cord is offering advertising and looking for writers, photographers, and technology enthusiasts
The new web-based newspaper service here at Blinn College is off to a great start! After opening in the fall and keeping a solid foundation through the spring, it’s time to take the organization to the next level. The staff members with The Blinn Cord are looking to print the paper in the near future. The goal is to have the paper distributed to all Blinn campuses and possibly even local businesses free for readers. So, now it’s time for you to step up and help us help you:
Students
Are you interested in poking your nose into the local affairs and writing about the happenings both on and off campus? The Blinn Cord is looking for current Blinn students to become staff writers. Your voice can finally be heard!
Or do you enjoy photography? The Blinn Cord also needs students interested in taking pictures that involve our articles. We also have an option for you, as a student, to send in a picture you have taken that you would like to share in our “Photo of the Week” section. Just send your unique picture by e-mail to martindehlinger@yahoo.com with a brief description of when and where the picture was taken. Don’t forget to include your full name so we can give credit to you on our site if it is chosen!
Perhaps technology is more your style. We are open for students wishing to join the organization and provide suggestions and help with our website, computer software, and picture editing.
As a member of The Blinn Cord, you will be involved in an active student organization that will impress those who look at your resume, or read your college transfer application. It will also provide experience in many different professional fields.
