The Blinn Buccaneers climbed two spots to 11 in the final NJCAA regular season poll released Tuesday, finishing the regular season with a 7-2 overall record and 4-2 in SWJCFC play.  Winners of four straight, the Bucs finished second in the conference and will now host the SWJCFC semifinal game against third seed Trinity Valley Community College on Saturday.  Trinity Valley finished the regular season with a 5-4 record having lost to Blinn at home 49-33 on Oct. 16.  The Bucs rolled up almost 300 total rushing yards against the Cardinals, led by freshman running back Marion Grice (Katy) who finished the game with 193 yards on the ground.

Top seed Navarro (8-1) will host fourth seed Kilgore College (4-5), in a rematch of last years semifinal game. The winners of this weekend’s games will play on Nov. 13 to determine the conference championship and who will receive an automatic bid to a bowl game.

Kick-off for Saturday’s game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Cub Stadium in Brenham, with tickets $5 for adults, $3 for children.
