Blinn holds at No. 5 in latest NJCAA poll
The Blinn College Buccaneers held strong at fifth in the latest poll released today by the NJCAA after consecutive conference sweeps of Paris Junior College (25-14, 25-16, 25-16) and Tyler Junior College (25-22, 25-19, 25-21) last week.
Winners of 13 of their last 14, the Bucs (25-5, 9-0) extended their win streak to ten this week with a sweep of Lon Morris College (25-20, 25-16, 25-15). The Bucs are led by setter Jackie Gerig (FR, Normal, IL), who is ranked first in the nation with a 68% hitting efficiency, and middle blocker Nikki McNorton (SO, Channelview) who is ranked eighth with 1.68 blocks per set.
